Description

The Knabe WMG 610 is the perfect choice for the player who wants great sound and feel. The asymmetrically tapered soundboard and contoured solid German spruce soundboard give you a warm, rich sound with plenty of projection. The bridges are vertically-laminated maple, and the ribs are spruce and notched into the liner, for a depth and resonance you won't find in any other acoustic. The action is premium maple with aluminum rail, for a smooth, responsive feel. The keys are premium grade spruce, and the pin block is 16-ply laminated maple, for a lifetime of worry-free playing.

William Knabe established his company in Baltimore, USA in the year 1839 and remained in the family until 1906. As a well established name, the Knabe company became part of larger conglomerates until finally residing in the hands of Samick Music Corporation in the year 2000 where it has become the flagship brand for SMC. As of 2011, Knabe grands have been divided into 3 levels: Baltimore (WG models), Academy (WMG models) and Concert (WKG models).
